Advantages of Masuria region are obvious. We should include into it: terrain shape, more than 3000 lakes, almost wild nature, hundreds of historical places, agro-tourism, low level of industry. There is a lot more than 644000 guests places for stay around Masuria region. More than 200 000 foregin tourists is using private accomodation every year. One of well know historical place in Masuria region is Grunwald. At this place, in 1410 year, polish-lithuanian army won with the Teutonic Knights.
The system of water canals that connect lakes is big attraction for sailors. Through Masuria runs Elblaski Canal, which is system made of 5 on the ground locks. It is an attraction on the european scale. Region is mix of polish, german, lithuanian, ukrainian and russian culture because every year the biggest number of foregin tourists come from this countries.
